A replacement that would, of course, have cost so much the truck would be deemed a total loss and uneconomical to repair. Yet an 11th hour reprieve (thanks to some contacts at Ford) saw us gain an officially sanctioned repair that we - and the insurance adjuster - wanted to carry out from the very start.
